DHAKA: Khilkhet Thana Police personnel held the second-in-command of terrifying ‘Mosarraf Gang’ of Rupganj from Gulshan area on Thursday afternoon.
The detainee was identified as Badiuzzaman Bhuiyan alias Badi, 36, brother of top terror Mosarraf.
Khilkhet Thana Officer-in-Charge Shamim Hossain said acting on a tip-off, police held him from city’s Gulshan area.
People of Rupganj Thana staged a joyous rally after hearing his confinement.
Earlier, a number of 23 criminal cases were filed against him accusing murder, assault, land grabbing and violation against women, police sources said.
