DHAKA: The written test of government job-seekers under the 32nd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination (special) began on Monday at 12 centers across the country simultaneously.
On the first day, English exam was held from 10am to 1 pm.
The test was held simultaneously at seven centres in Dhaka and one center of Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet each.
Those who succeeded in the preliminary test are participating in the written test which will continue till June 19.
The special BCS exam is being taken due to fill up 1, 489 vacant post of officers in child of freedom fighters, woman and tribal quotas in 27th, 28th, 29th BCS exam.
Some 1,158 in freedom fighters, 130 in woman and 201 in tribal quotas will be appointed through the exam.
