“Hartal after Eid if Jahangir not released”

DHAKA: BNP finance affairs secretary and Dhaka city unit BNP member secretary Abdus Salam warned that BNP will declare hartal after Eid if City Jubo Dal (north) general secretary SM Jahangir is not released soon.

He came up with the warning while addressing a protest rally in front of party’s central office Friday.

Indicating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Abdus Salam said, “Release Jahangir before Eid otherwise we will declare hartal after Eid.”

We should also follow the curved path as ruling Awami League likes curved path, he added.

With Jubo Dal president Moazzem Hossain Alal in the chair, the rally was attended, among others, by party’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Saiful Alam Miraj.
