BGB-NASAKA flag meeting held in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR : A commander level flag meeting between Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and border security force of Myanmar (NASAKA) was held in Teknaf Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The flag meeting was held at Burmese Government Primary School of Chowdhurypara under Nihla Union of the Upazila.

The eight-member Bangladesh delegation led by Nihla BOP Camp commander Judge Mia while the seven-member Myanmar delegation was led by commander Min Thing of Rai Gadong Camp.

The meeting discussed various topics, including border guard level relation development, securing peace in frontier area, cooperation to prevent drug smuggling and illegal passage and torture after abduction of the Naf river fishermen.

BGB-42 Teknaf Battalion captain Lt Col Jahid Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
