BOGRA: A college student was stabbed to death allegedly by some miscreants in Thanthania Shahid Nagar area in the city early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Niranjan Chakraborty alias Dipu, 22, son of Khokon Chandra Chakraborty of Koipara Hindupara area and he appeared HSC examination from Bogra Shah Sultan College.
Sources said around six to seven criminals of the area stabbed him with sharp knife at Thanthania Shahid Nagar around 10:15pm Tuesday, leaving him injured critically.
He was rushed to Shaheed Zia Medical College Hospital, Bogra, where he succumbed to his injuries in the midnight.
Later, his father filed a case accusing seven people with Bogra Sadar Thana in this connection.
Officer-in-Charge of Bogra Sadar Thana M Atiar Rahman told banglanews that Sarga and his associates might have murdered Dipu following previous feud.
