DHAKA: Three more railway officials were suspended for their alleged involvement in irregularities in recruitment in Bangladesh Railway.
The railways ministry suspended the officials Tuesday, said public relations officer of the ministry Abu Naser.
The accused officers are additional chief mechanical engineer (East Zone) Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury, senior welfare officer (East Zone) Golam Kibria and assistant commercial officer-1 (Dhaka) Abu Syed Ahmed.
In April, general manager (east zone) Yusuf Ali Mridha and Dhaka Division security commandant Enamul Haq were suspended four days after the haul of Tk 70 lakh from former railway minister Suranjit Sengupta’s aide Omar Faruq Talukder inside BGB Pilkhana Headquarters.
