PIROJPUR: A child drowned in a canal in Jhanjhania village under sadar upazila of the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Sadia, 14 months, daughter of Delwar Hossain of the area.
Family sources said Sadia drowned under road side canal when she was playing with some other children.
Later, family members recovered him from the canal. She was rushed to Pirojpur Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead, sources added.
