RMG worker commits suicide in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: A garment worker committed suicide by jumping from the rooftop of a four-storied building at Hamidchar of Chandgaon Thana in the port city early Saturday.

The victim was identified as Joynab Begum, 21, a worker of Desh Garments, and daughter of Abul Shafi, of Shilkup village.

Chandgaon Thana OC Babul Banik told banglanews Joynab jumped from the rooftop of one Yusuf Saodagor’s four-storied building at about 11pm on Friday.

Family members admitted her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to her injuries at about 1:30am.

An unnatural death (UD) case was filed with Chandgaon Thana in this connection.
