MADARIPUR: At least 30 people including a police official were injured in a clash between two groups of villager at Araipara village in Rajoir Upazila Friday night over establishing supremacy in the area.
One Dr. Golam Mowla told banglanews, “Badal Howlader had a long-time dispute with Hanif Boyati of establishing supremacy in the area.”
Following the dispute, Jamal Hawlader and Rafu Boyati engaged in an altercation over a trifle matter. At one stage, supporters of two groups locked into clash that left 30 people including a police constable injured.
The injured were admitted to Madaripur Sadar and Rajoir hospitals.
Regarding the matter, Rajoir Thana OC Nousher Ali told banglanews, “Police fired five rounds of bullet to bring the situation under control.”
Injured cop was admitted to Upazila Health Complex.
