RAJSHAHI: At least 30 leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal were sued for vandalizing buses at Rajshahi University early Wednesday.
Motihar Thana police filed the case against 30 JCD men early Wednesday for vandalizing a number of University buses during Tuesday’s scuffle with BCL men.
Police source said JCD leaders and activists also vandalized some vehicles on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway and obstructed police to carry out their duties.
Motihar Thana OC Anisur Rahman told banglanews, “Legal action will be taken against after investigation.”
Earlier on Tuesday, at least 10 activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were injured in an attack by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists at Rajshahi University in the morning.
Sources said BCL men attacked a the JCD men near the main gate of the university at about 11:30am while they were trying to bring out a procession marking the 4th jail free day of Khaleda Zia.
Centering the matter, JCD men vandalized a number of university buses.
