AL, BNP submit audit reports to EC

DHAKA: The ruling Awami League and opposition BNP submitted their annual financial audit reports to the Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday.

AL deputy-office secretary Mrinal Kanti Das and BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi submitted the reports to the EC on behalf of their respective parties.

EC Secretary Dr Mohammad Siddique received the reports at EC office in the city’s Agargaon.

As per the Political Party Registration Rules-2008, it is mandatory for all political parties to submit their annual financial reports to EC.

However, the deadline of the report submission was July 31.
