DHAKA: The newly elected central and city committee leaders of Awami Juba League had met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gano Bhaban in the city Sunday.
The leaders includes Juba League chairman Omar Faruk Chowdhury, general secretary Harun-or-Rashid, city (north) chairman Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, city (south) chairman Ismail Chowdhury Samrat.
The new committee of Juba League was formed on Saturday.
After talking with Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, the senior leaders of Juba league led by Jahangir Kabir Nanok declared the names at 9:00pm on the day.
Before the AJL congress, councils of Dhaka City South and north were held on July 3 and 5 respectively.
The last national congress of AJL was held on July 25 in 2003 in which Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanok was elected as its chairman and Mirza Azam as general secretary.
