RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY : Two activists of Rajshahi University Chhatra League unit were held while they were allegedly mugging a man in city’s central jail area on Wednesday night.
The arrestees are Belal Hossain alias Bill, a fourth year student of Anthropology department and Imran Hossain alias David, final year student of Accounting Department of the university.
Rajpara Thana SI Selim Badsha told reporters that a patrol team of police were patrolling in city’s central jail area at night.
In the meantime, the two youths stopped a man showing sharp weapons and started snatching at about 8:30 pm in the area. Police arrested them instantly.
They are being interrogated. But no case was filed in this connection, the SI added.
