DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed said the party wants to join the upcoming budget session of ninth parliament to talk for the people of the county.
The senior leader of the party came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion meeting held at the National Press Club Saturday.
The BNP lawmaker said, “We want to join the important budget session to talk for the people.”
He added: “The decision in this regard will be taken in our parliamentary committee meeting.”
Raising allegation against incumbent government to assume in power next by holding election under party government, he said, “The people will not allow their dream to be real.”
The discussion was also addressed, among others, by advisor to BNP chairperson Shamsuzzaman Dudu, vice president of Zia Parishad Professor M Salimullah Khan and Professor Dr Shafiqur Rahman.
