DHAKA: The fifth commerce secretary level meeting between Bangladesh and Nepal will be held in Dhaka.
The decision was taken in Bangladesh-Nepal commerce-secretary-level meeting held in Kathmandu of Nepal recently, says a commerce ministry press release on Thursday.
Bangladeshi Commerce Secretary M Golam Hossain and Nepal Commerce Secretary Lal Moni Joshi led their respective sides in the meeting.
A joint secretary level technical committee has been formed to fix up the agro-based commodities list of Nepali agro products and modality for duty free access in Bangladesh.
The technical committee will finalize the draft of ‘Operational Modalities for the Carriage of Transit Cargo between Nepal and Bangladesh’ by December.
Various issues, including Dhaka-Kathmandu direct bus service, Bangladeshi truck access in Nepal, Rohanpur-Singbad railway link, on arrival visa service, tourism and trade fair were also discussed in the fourth meeting.
