MADARIPUR: A motorcyclist was killed as a passenger bus rammed down his bike in Gopalpur Melkai area on Dhaka-Barisal highway on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Sumon Ghosh, 35, son of Jonu Ghosh of Jajira village in Shariatpur.
Sources said a passenger bus rammed the in Gopalpur Melkai around 9am, injuring the bike rider critically.
Kalkini Thana OC AKM Shahin Mandal said, “Sumon died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while being shifted from Madaripur Sadar Hospital.”
A case was filed with the police station in the connection, he said.
