DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged party-men to be united for joining movement against the government after Eid.
The spokesperson for the party came up with the plea while addressing a rally in front of party’s central office in city’s Naya Paltan area Sunday.
He said, “We have to sit for an acid test after Eid in protest against price hike of daily essentials and restoration of caretaker government.”
The senior leader of the party also alleged that the incumbent government has continued killing and abducting opposition leaders and activists.
With Dhaka city BNP convener Abdus Salam in the chair, the rally was also addressed, among others, by party’s standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, Barrister Moudud Ahmed and education affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon.
