DHAKA: Industries Minister Dilip Barua Tuesday left Dhaka for China on a seven-day official visit to see the country’s modern fertiliser factories.
Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) chairman M Golam Rabbani, joint secretary of industries ministry M Khalilur Rahman Siddiqui and personal secretary of the minister M Ashraf Shamim are accompanying the minister.
The minister will exchange views with directors and technical experts of the factory modernized with latest technology during his visit.
Dilip will also meet with deputy minister for industries, deputy minister of foreign affairs and other high officials of the Chinese government.
He will discuss about Chinese government support in different industrial sectors of Bangladesh during meeting.
The minister is scheduled to return on June 19.
