DHAKA: Opposition BNP international affairs secretary Nazim Uddin Alam Tuesday released on bail from Mymensingh Jail.
He left Mymensingh for Dhaka from jail around 11am, family sources say.
Earlier on Monday, BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, and Organizing Secretary Fazlul Haq Milon on Monday night were set free from the central jail on bail.
BNP chairperson`s press wing officer Shamsuddin Didar told banglanews, “They were set free on Monday as their production warrants were not issued earlier.”
Earlier on June 27, a number of alliance leaders including BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alammgir got bail over their alleged involvement in bomb explosion at secretariat, vehicle vandalism and arson in PM office area during April 29 dawn-to-dusk hartal protesting ‘missing of Ilias Ali’.
Earlier on May 27, five opposition MPs were released over the two cases.
