DHAKA: Investors saw a moderate fall in the benchmark indices of country’s bourses Wednesday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over 40 points to stand at 4,118 at the close on the day trading.
Trade deals stood at 66631 with transactions at Tk 1999 million. Of the issues traded, 104 advanced, 149 declined and 11 remained unchanged.
BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 129 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were RNSPIN, LANKABAFIN, NBL, KEYACOSMET, SQURPHARMA, GPHISPAT, JAMUNAOIL, TITASGAS and ICBAMCL1ST.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7,976 by dropping over 79 points.
Out of the issues traded, 41 gained, 131 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
Earlier in the morning, trading resumed in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) after a day’s suspension due to technical problems at Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL).
