JCD torches bus,blasts cocktails

DHAKA: Jatiyatabdi Chhatra Dal activists allegedly torched a double-decker bus and blasted some cocktails on Dhaka University campus on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ramna Zone Syed Nurul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Witnesses said two youths riding a motorbike set fire on the bus standing on the road in front of Swimming Pool.

Later, fire fighter from Nilkhet rushed to spot and doused the fire.

Syed Nurul Islam said, “We are quite confirmed after getting the evidences that Chhatra Dal set fire on the buses and exploded cocktails.”

On January 28, some 13 cocktails were exploded in phases at Dhaka University campus while 19 cocktails were exploded on January 29.
