BNP’s protest rally begins

DHAKA: A protest rally called by opposition BNP began in front of party’s central office in city’s Naya Paltan area at 4:00pm Thursday.

The rally was organized in protest against corruption, extortion and failure of the government, said a party source.

With Dhaka city BNP member secretary Abdus Salam in the chair, the rally was also being attended, among others, by party’s standing committee members, advisers to the chairperson, members of the central committee and leaders, activists of other associates.
