DHAKA: The state-run organization Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) started selling of sugar at Tk 60 per kilogram in a bid to keep its market price under control during the upcoming Ramadan.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua inaugurated selling of BSFIC sugar at its office in city’s Motijheel Wednesday.
During the Ramadan, the sugar would be available at three city points, 76 Motijheel BSFIC under construction building, 3 Dilkusha and in front of the National Press Club, sources said.
BSFIC chairman Mahmudul Haque Bhuiyan and director M Delwar Hossain also spoke on the occasion.
