DHAKA: Ruling Awami League acting general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif Sunday said the people did not elect them to hand over the power to an unelected person.
A fair and free election will be held under election commission.
Indicating the opposition party, he said, “If you have any proposal, come to the parliament and together we plan for the next general election.”
The spokesperson for the AL came up with the assertion while addressing a meeting organized by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote held at Dhaka Reporter’s Unity in the city.
Indicating Khaleda Zia, the senior AL leader said hold back from celebrating false birthday on August 15.
Indicating Barrister Moudud, he said, “If the interim government system is unconstitutional, how you can say caretaker system constitutional.”
