Charges of new DU pro-VCs distributed

DHAKA: The syndicate of Dhaka University has distributed the charges of it’s two new Pro-vice chancellors on Sunday night.

Professor Shahid Akter Hossain got the charge of Administration while Professor Nasrin Ahmed took the charge of academic activities.  

A syndicate meeting of the varsity held on Sunday night took the decision.

The meeting was attended by members of the university syndicate with it’s Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique in the chair.

Earlier on June 9, the two new Pro-Vice Chancellors of Dhaka University Professor took over their charges.

On June 6, President M Zillur Rahman, also Chancellor of the university, appointed them as Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university.

On June 5, pro-VC Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid and Treasurer Professor Mizanur Rahman resigned from their posts.
