SATKHIRA: A Bangladeshi national was injured as Border Security Force (BSF) of India pierced him by rifle bayonet near Boikari frontier of the district on Sunday morning.
The victim was identified as Aktarul Islam, 30, son of Sobhan Gazi, hailed from Toluigachha village of Satkhira Sadar Upazila.
Injured Aktarul Islam told banglanews, he went for a walk outside his father-in-law’s house towards the frontier area around 9am.
Meanwhile, BSF personnel of Koijuri Camp confined him at the zero point area and tied him up. They also pierced him with bayonet and beat him indiscriminately leaving his leg broken.
Later, locals recovered him and admitted him to Satkhira Sadar Hospital around 11:30am.
BGB-38 Battalion commander Lt Col Abu Bashir confirmed the incident to banglanews.
