DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir termed the government as irresponsible for praising former communications minister Syed Abul Hossain and on the other hand forcing him to resign for corruption.
He came up with the allegation while addressing the 33th anniversary of Bangladesh Islami Party at a city’s Hotel Friday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “The politicians are in fear as the Prime Minister has said that killing and abduction couldn’t be stopped fully.”
However the opposition spokesman thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for attending the Olympic Games in London.
The programme was addressed, among others, by LDP secretary general Redwan Ahmed, Islami Oikya Jote secretary general Maolana Abdul Latif Nezami and city BNP member secretary Abdus Salam.
