DHAKA: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed left Dhaka for South Korea to attend 2nd Asian Forum of the Legislative Information Affairs (AFOLIA) conference.
Legislation ministry of the Korean government has organized the conference, scheduled to be started from June 27 at Ilsan under Gyoonggi-do province.
The minister will address at the plenary session on legislative information on the first day, sources said.
Barrister Shafiq is also likely to meet with Korean Prime Minister Mr Kim Huang-Sik, government legislation minister Mr Sun-Tae Jeong , ministers and deputy ministers participating at the forum from different countries.
Besides, he will also exchange views with Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) leaders and expatriate Bangladeshis.
The law minister is expected to return home on June 30.
