DHAKA: Investors saw significant gain in the benchmark indices of country’s bourses on Tuesday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index gain over 116 points to stand at 4318 after the day trading.
The volume of transactions also increased to Tk 2892 million from Monday’s Tk 2082 million. Trade deals stood at 89,991 against the previous day’s 62,962.
Of the issues traded, 247 advanced, 14 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 142 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, BSCCL, LAFSURCEML, SQURPHARMA, MPETROLEUM, TITASGAS, JAMUNAOIL, NBL and GPHISPAT.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,331 by gaining over 219 points.
Of the issues traded, 174 advanced, 2 declined and 8 remained unchanged.
On Monday, the benchmark indices of DSE and CSE rose 77 and 146 points respectively.
