DHAKA: A college girl was allegedly knocked down by car willingly in Joar Sahara area under Bhatara thana of the capital Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mitu, 17, daughter of Rafiqul Islam. She was a second year student of Kalachandpur College.
Witnesses said that car of one Siraj rammed over Mitu and her friend when they were going to meet another friend, leaving them injured critically.
They were rushed to Apollo Hospital where Mitu succumbed to her injuries in the afternoon.
No case was filed in this regard while locals are alleging that Siraj willingly rammed over the girls with car and managed police by giving bribe.
