Islamic, Arabic universities soon: Nahid

DHAKA: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said Islamic and Arabic Universities will be set up very soon.

He said, “All administrative work in this regard have been completed and the issue will be sent to the cabinet for discuss.”

He came up with disclosure while attending an iftar and Doa Mahfil of Bangladesh Jamaatul Madrasin in the city on Friday.

Nahid said, “Many steps have been taken for developing Madrasa education. Meanwhile, both Islamic and modern education system has been introduced in Madrasa education.”

While addressing the guests, he said, “Islam is the religion of peace. It does not support violence and terrorism. But, a quarter is trying to destroy Islam by spreading propaganda. We should be aware about them.”
