DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia warned the government that her party won’t tolerate any kind of harm to minority people and their places of worship.
The former Prime Minister came up with the warning in a statement issued on Saturday.
The statement signed by her press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan reads: “The government has not taken any steps to conduct fair investigation of the recent violence in Ramu, Ukhia and Patia, rather the issue was exaggerated politically.”
“We are warning the incumbent government if it tries to take advantage from the issue and we also demand immediate action against persons involved,” she added.
