CHITTAGONJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is schedule to visit the port city on Saturday.
During her visit, she will inaugurate different development works.
Sheikh Hasina, also president of ruling Awami League, is set to address a rally at Rangunia upazila in the district.
Law enforcers are on alert on the occasion of PM’s visit.
Some 2,500 police personnel have been deployed across the city and around the venue of rally at Rangunia.
The Primer is also set to participate in day-long programme in different parts of the district.
She will address the inaugural session of 54th convention of Engineers’ Institution, Bangladesh (IEB) at 11:00 am.
At the same venue, she will also inaugurate 850-bed hospital for women and children through modern technology.
Hasina is set to address the rally at 3:00 pm, AL sources said.
