Woman’s decomposed body recovered

DHAKA: The decomposed body of a woman was recovered from City Colony near Mirpur Buddhijibi graveyard in the city early Tuesday.

The victim was identified as, Rekha, 32, wife of Abdul Matin.

Darussalam thana SI Abu Bakkar said, “Locals noticed a foul smell coming from the room of Rekha and informed police early Tuesday. Later, police recovered the decomposed body of Rekha from under her bed.”

Police suspected that Rekha’s husband Matin slaughtered her two or three days ago and went into hiding.

An unnatural death case was filed with Darussalam Thana in this connection.
