RUPGANJ, NARAYANGANJ: A 25-year-old woman was killed when a bus ran over her on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Barpa area under the Thana on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Rabeya Aktar, worker of Antim garments, daughter of Safi Mia hailed from Kamrangirchar area of Araihazar Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Rupganj Thana Atikur Rahman Khan told banglanews a Dhaka-bound bus ran over her around 4:30pm in the area while she was crossing the road, leaving her dead on the spot.
Police seized the killer bus, he added.
