DHAKA: An Evening of Screening of Bangladeshi Film “Ekattorer Ora” directed by Khalid Mahmood Mithu will be held at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) in the city at 6:30 PM on July 19.
As part of the month-long celebration of films of Khalid Mahmood Mithu, the Indira Gandhi Culture Centre, High Commission of India, Dhaka in association with the State Bank of India in Bangladesh is organising the evening which will be undertaken in the DVD format on big screen.
Faridur Reza Shagar’s novel, “Ekattorer Ora”, has been adapted into a tele-film by renowned film director and painter Khalid Mahmood Mithu that is produced by Impress Telefilm.
“Ekattorer Ora” is a tele-film specially made for children and teens. The film depicts the contribution and participation of Bangladeshi youth in the Liberation War of 1971.
The film depicts the outstanding bravery and courage exhibited by the youth of Bangladesh during the Liberation War who fought commendably along side the adults of this country.
In this film, the Bangladesh freedom fighters are shown to win a glorious victory over the Pakistani army with assistance of a young clever boy and a girl.
Entry is open for all without any ticket.
