RUPGANJ, NARAYANGANJ: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel held a drug peddler with 300 pieces of Yaba tablets from Bhiyela Bazar area under Bhulta union early Monday.
The detainee was identified as Didar, 22, son of Waz Uddin of Barakhalerpara area under Sadar Thana.
RAB-11 DAD Abu Bakkar Siddique told banglanews, “Acting on a tip-off, we conducted the drive in Bhayela Bazar area and picked up him with 300 pieces of Yaba tablets around 3am.”
He said, Didar was involved in Yaba trading for a long time and a case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act.
The process is underway to send him to the court, he added.
