SIRAJGANJ: A construction worker was killed and at least 10 others injured in a roof collapse of an under-construction CNG station at Dhopakandi on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway in Ullapara upazila of the district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Rasel Ahmed, 20, son of Shahin Ahmed of Dadunpur village of the area.
However, the body of Rasel is yet to recover under the collapsed structure.
Locals said Rasel’s father and brother were injured in the incident.
The injured were rushed to different clinics for treatment.
Army, police, Rab personnel and fire fighters are trying jointly to recover the body inside the collapsed building.
Additional Magistrate Shafiqul Islam told banglanews that a 3-member probe body was formed to investigate into the incident.
