Power substation at JU soon

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: Jahangirnagar University (JU) is set to install a power substation on the campus soon for uninterrupted electricity.

Syndicate members of the university took the decision at a meeting Saturday with JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwar Hossain in the chair, said a press release.

The university authority will make a deal with Dhaka Palli Biddut Samity-1 for building the substation on an area of 22.04 decimals on the campus near the Dhaka-Aricha highway, the release added.

Later, Professor Anwar inaugurated the gas connection at Shaheed Rafiq Jabbar (RJ) Hall at around 2:00pm.

In 2011, RJ Hall was inaugurated but there was no gas connection in the dormitory.
