DHAKA: Police held a man from City’s Rampura area on charge of issuing death treat to three Saudi officials including it’s Ambassador to Dhaka on Friday night.
The detainee is ANM Abdur Rashid, 56, an ex-official of Saudi Embassy.
DMP’s public relations department Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman told banglanews, “Abdur Rashid gave death threat to Saudi Envoy to Dhaka, Deputy Envoy and Religious Attaché of the embassy four days ago.”
It would later be disclosed at a press briefing, he added.
Earlier, Abdur Rashid was sacked from Saudi Embassy on charge of corruption.
