DHAKA: Post and Telecommunications Minister Raziuddin Ahmed Razu categorically said the government earned some TK 10,688 crore from six mobile operators of the country.
The minister came up with the disclosure in the question hour session of parliament Tuesday.
Minister Razu said, “The government earned the sum of money from July 2001 to May 2012 as proportion of income, license fees and spectrum fees.”
Of the total amount, Grameenphone paid TK 5,206.20 crore, Robi TK 2,11.55 crore, Banglalink TK 2,61.36 crore, Citycell TK 604.12 crore, Airtel TK 589.99 crore and Teletalk paid TK 115.22 crore, the minister added.
