The deceased was identified as Abdul Wahab, 46, an influential person of the village.
The injured were admitted to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital.
Local UP member Joynal Abedin told banglanews the owners of a land Shahidul and Mokaddes took possession of the land according to a court order.
But illegal grabber Abdul Jalil tried to evict the real owners in association with SI Abdur Rahim, he said.
“Later, Wahab organized arbitration on the issue and gave verdict in favour of Shahidul and Mokaddes. But, police filed case against Wahab, his son and the villagers following the issue,” said the UP member.
