BARGUNA: An ex-UP Chairman was killed in a road accident in Usshitola area of Amtoli-Patuakhali road of the district on Friday noon.
The deceased was identified as Siddiqur Rahman, 52, former Union Parishad Chairman of Gulishakhali union parishad.
Witnesses told that he lost control over the break of his motorbike while he was retuning home, leaving him injured critically.
Later, locals rushed him to Amtoli Hospital and transferred to Barisal Medical College Hospital while his condition deteriorated, where he succumbed to his injuries, they added.
Amtoli Thana Ofiicer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
