DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL) Advisory Council member Abdul Jalil categorically said that no result would come out from torching vehicles rather sitting for discussion would be more fruitful.
He made the comment at a commemorative programme at capital’s Jatiya Krira Parishad Auditorium on Friday.
Jalil, also a former General Secretary of the party, was addressing the prograsmme which was held to recall veteran leader Abdur Razzak.
Abdul Jalil said, “No attempts to halt the trial of the war criminals will be successful.”
Terming the demand of neutral caretaker government as ‘absurd’, Jalil said, “Discussion at the parliament or elsewhere can help to make way of the reflection of public mandate.”
Addressing the programme as chief guest, Jalil also said ideology of the late leader Abdur Razzak will influence the way of the AL politicians.
