DHAKA: Some activists of Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, engaged in a scuffle with Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of BNP, in front of the main stage of mass-rally in city’s Nayapaltan on Monday morning.
A spot account said the activists of two groups engaged in the first-round scuffle at about 11:55 am over a trifling matter, leaving 12 activists of the both sides wounded.
Amongst them, Faruk Hossain Moin Uddin and Sujan were admitted to Islami Bank Hospital in city’s Kakrail.
Central leaders urged two organizations through mikes to remain calm and show a united face. But, tension is prevailing at the rally venue.
