Mehedi festival in city

DHAKA: Dhakabashi and the National Press Club jointly organized a `Mehedi Festival` at National Press Club conference room in the city as part of the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr Friday morning.

The festival began in the morning and continued till 1pm.

Philippine Ambassador to Dhaka Bahnarim Abu Guinomla was the chief guest while advisor of Dhakabashi Enam Ahmed Chowdhury, senior vice president of Press Club Kazi Rownak Hossain and General Manager of Elite Cosmetics Md Abul Hossain were special guests at the festival presided over by president of Dhakabashi Md Shukkur Salek.

A competition was also held on adorning hena on hands. Later, prizes were distributed among the winners.

The festival will continue till `Chand-raat` (the night before the Eid day) in different areas of the city.
