Dinajpur-Thakurgaon rail communication resumes

DINAJPUR: After about 11-hour halt for bomb panic, the rail communication between Dinajpur-Thakurgaon resumed at 8:00 pm Saturday.

The 9-member bomb expert team of army recovered the thing looks like bomb weighing five kilograms.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Bochaganj Thana GM Shamsur Rahman said, “The army experts are testing the thing.”

Earlier the rail communication on the route remained halted from 9:00am after bomb-like object found on rail track at Setabganj.

The authority cancelled three scheduled trains on the route.

Sources said Kanchan Express, a train of Dinajpur-Thakurgaon route, stationed at Setabganj railway station at 9:00am.

At the time, a local informed rail authority about a bomb-like object lying on the rail track. The authority immediately suspended rail communication on the route.
