Milk Vita price hiked by Tk 3

SIRAJGANJ: The price of Milk Vita, the most popular brand of packaged milk, has been increased by Tk 3 in per litter.

As per the managing committee decision of the institution, the increased price was executed from Saturday across the country.

Chairman of Milk Vita’s managing committee Hasib Khan Tarun told banglanews, “The decision was taken due to the price hike of power, gas, fuel oil, transport cost and cattle food.”

As per the decision, the price of per litter Milk Vita increased from Tk 52 to Tk 55 in wholesale level while Tk 55 to Tk 58 in retail level.

He apprised that PRAN and BRAC dairy firm have increased the price at the same rate on May 10.
