CHUADANGA: Communications and Railway Minister Obaidul Quader MP warned that the corruption of the government officials, which increases sufferings of the people, would never be tolerated.
The communications minister came up with the forewarning while visiting Alamdanga Railway station Sunday.
Indicating the officials, Obaidul Quader said, “Our salary is being paid with people’s money and we should be accountable to them.”
He also expressed discontent over the bad condition of the station.
In a view exchange meeting with district Awami League leaders and activists, the minister said, “We should also honor the people who honored us by voting in election.”
The view exchange meeting was addressed, among others, by district Awami League general secretary Azadul Islam Azad, organizing secretary Alamgir Hannan and Juba League convener Arefin Alam Ranju.
