MUNSHIGANJ: A woman was killed as a microbus collided with a roadside tree in Amtala area under Serajdikhan upazila on Saturday noon.
The deceased was identified as Nuri Begum, 45, wife of Mosharraf Hossain, hailed from Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district.
Officer-in-Charge of Sirajdikhan Thana M Mahbubur Rahman told banglanews that a Gopalganj-bound bus from Dhaka collided with a roadside tree around 12:30pm in the area as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the woman dead in the spot.
The woman was going to home to celebrate Eid along with her family members, the OC added.
